CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA. May 16, 2013 – SHINE Systems & Technologies (SHINE), a leading intelligence analytics, biometrics, technology integration and consulting firm based in Charlottesville, celebrated the five-year anniversary of the company with a luncheon and open house for all SHINE Systems employees and select clients, contractors and partners. The event was held in Charlottesville at the SHINE headquarters and was attended by nearly 100 people with lunch catered by Zazus Fresh Grille. The special occasion afforded SHINE Systems team members a chance to celebrate the company’s successes.

SHINE was founded in 2007, doing business in the first quarter of 2008 experiencing nonstop progress since the very beginning. SHINE founder and President Jeff Thomas spoke to the crowd noting the incredible growth the company has experienced in the last 16 months, expanding from 17 employees to over 100, and revealing the ambitious goal of growing to over 200 in FY2013. Offices have been added in other HUBZone locales around the Commonwealth in Shenandoah (Page County) and Martinsville (Henry County) supporting the Charlottesville office and SHINE Systems initiatives. “Bringing economic development to underutilized business areas is at the very core what small business is about-we are supporting the American economy, one hire at a time,” said Thomas.
