FSR Hardware Engineer

As a Field Service Representative (FSR) Hardware Engineer, you will be on the front lines assisting Palantir’s implementation teams to support and strengthen the unique partnerships with our clients’ user base. The FSR Hardware Engineer is responsible for requirements analysis, design, integration, and test adhering to typical DoD processes and procedures. You will be working closely with the Palantir Implementation Team as well as hardware design teams to ensure the end product meets the customer requirements. You will be trusted as an expert on DoD vehicle hardware and day to day will include developing architecture diagrams, signing off on blue prints, and generating field test reports. The current position is in Washington, D.C.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Derive operational/user requirements into system level requirements and decompose further to hardware sub-systems
  • Development of DODAF architecture diagrams
  • Scope and lead hardware trade studies in support of derivation and decomposition of requirements
  • Support hardware integration and test activities
  • Generate developmental and operational field test reports
  • Communicate requirements clearly and effectively to hardware design teams
  • Work effectively on a team with people from a variety of disciplines and backgrounds

Experience and Education

  • Ability to work with accuracy and consistency
  • Ability to effectively communicate and be a reliable member of the team

  • Requirements

  • 8-10 years’ experience with DoD platform system / combat vehicle integration (DoD Family of Medium Tactical Vehicles preferred)
  • DoD operational test and evaluation experience
  • Familiarity with SWaP-C, E3, CBRN, Spectrum, and natural induced and hostile environmental requirements
  • Demonstrated experience producing artifacts using engineering documentation tools, e.g., DOORS, Magic Draw, and CAD
  • Experience in systems requiring classified processing
  • (As required by U.S. Government contract) U.S. citizenship
  • (As required by U.S. Government contract) Varied clearance levels (e.g., SECRET, TS, TS/SCI with CIP, TS/SCI with FSP)
  • Facility Security Specialist

    As a Contractor Program Security Officer (CPSO) you will provide support to Government Program Security Officer (PSO). As well as support for program security and execution of all security policies and requirements for specified SAP programs, compartments, sub-compartments and projects. The current position is located in Reston, Virginia.

    Duties include but are not limited to:

    • Evaluate adherence to minimum and specific requirements for a fully accredited “open” or “closed” storage facility. Ensure high security locks are properly provisioned and inspect safes.
    • Write observables containment plans to obscure the existence and objective of sensitive activities.
    • Review highly sensitive personnel information, develop profiles, assist in all aspects of personnel security administrative processes.
    • Identify underlying issues, convey programmatic/national security implications and offer solutions.
    • Perform SCIF accreditation to include evaluating physical security, acoustics controls, visual controls, access control, electronic and TEMPEST security.
    • Participate in design phase to ensure construction meets security requirements.
    • Maintain information security accountability records for SAP including marking, storage, courier, general handling and inventory.
    • Develop special topic security briefings to include SAP security INDOC, refresher, marking, special topics and program specific briefings.

    Experience and Education

    • 5 years of experience with direct knowledge and functional expertise in maintaining SAP programs.
    • Training and experience working with SAPs.
      Completion of Instructor led Center for Development of Security Excellence (CDSE)
    • Introduction to Special Access Programs Course (SA101.01) is highly desired. Highly qualified candidates will have completed the CDSE Orientation to SAP Security Compliance Inspections (SA210.01) course.
    • Experience with SCIF accreditations and inspections.
    • Experience developing and implementing security training to meet SAP requirements.
    • Experience performing GSSO or CPSO functions for government and contractor customers.
      Completion of prerequisites for access to JPAS (PII Course)
    • Special Program Security Certification (SPSC) desired
    • Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study
    • DoD or Military service highly desired
