Charlottesville, VA – January 18, 2017: SHINE Systems & Technologies (SHINE), a GSA Schedule 70 contractor and provider of Decision Analytics, Technology Integration, and Mission Support Services to the Federal government and private enterprises, today announced that in August it was awarded a GSA Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) along with a corresponding task order with the Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

BPAs offer an excellent option for federal agencies and Schedule contractors alike, providing convenience, efficiency, and reduced costs. Contractual terms and conditions are contained in GSA Schedule contracts and are not to be re-negotiated for GSA Schedule BPAs.

“SHINE Systems is very pleased to make our services available through a BPA. This will streamline many aspects of the contracting process with the Federal agencies we serve.” said Jeff Thomas, President of SHINE Systems. “By reducing the procurement challenge, our GSA BPA, along with our other GSA contract vehicles, further reinforces our commitment to offering our capabilities in an easy to acquire way so we can focus on resolving critical integrated and support services issues with our top-shelf solutions.”

Subsequent to our BPA award, we were awarded a Task Order to provide the DHS ICE Joint Task Force – Investigations with FALCON Training and Support Services. FALCON is based upon commercial software sold by Palantir Technologies, Inc. called Palantir Gotham, but configured specifically for ICE.

“Winning this Task Order continues to be an example of the ongoing confidence Federal agencies and their partners have for our solutions and services,” stated Jeff Thomas, SHINE President. “ICE is doing some of the world’s toughest work, and we are thrilled to share our expertise.”

The ICE is a federal law enforcement agency within the DHS, which specifically focuses on immigration by enforcing border control, customs, and trade laws. With an annual budget of over $6 billion and over 20,000 employees, ICE has more than 400 offices around the world, with locations in all 50 states and in 48 foreign countries. With this worldwide presence, in the past 13 years ICE has made the US more secure by strengthening the nation’s Southwest border, targeting criminal aliens, and removing sexual predators through the Illicit Pathways Attack Strategy.
