President Jeff Thomas has been appointed to local board in Charlottesville
CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA. August 12, 2013 – SHINE Systems & Technologies, an innovation and analytics leader based in Charlottesville, recently announced that president Jeff Thomas has been appointed to First Citizens Bank (Charlottesville Area) Advisory Board beginning in July 2013. He will serve on the board for a three-year term. Main duties of board members include acting as a liaison between the community and the bank, discussing and voting on various matters brought before the board, advising management on the establishment of additional branch offices, giving expertise on their individual fields for the bank’s use in lending practices and directing additional business to First Citizens Bank.
Thomas has lived in Charlottesville for nearly 30 years and founded SHINE Systems in 2007. Thomas’ appointment lends a new expertise to the various industries being represented by the advisors. He offers diversity by representing the only SBA-certified HUBZone small business and defense on the board. Thomas holds a B.S. in Math and Computer Science from Hampden-Sydney College and was also selected for Leadership Charlottesville. Thomas has previously served as President of the Board of Directors for First Night Virginia, an annual celebration of the arts that is held in Charlottesville.
