Palantir Technologies Taps SHINE To Deploy Critical Trainers
CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA. August 2012 – SHINE Systems & Technologies (SHINE) has expanded its network of relationships, moving into three new sectors of operations serviced by its Charlottesville, VA and Washington, DC offices. The new divisions include the United States Special Operations Command (SOCOM), the Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS) and the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA). SHINE will also serve the Counter-IED Operations Intelligence Integration Center (COIC), located in Reston, Virginia.
SHINE supports mission areas ranging from law enforcement and special operations to counter-terrorism, counter-proliferation, and counter-intelligence. The company devotes significant support to Palantir Technologies, which turned to SHINE to provide and train intelligence, military, and law enforcement analysts in using its software platforms.
The PalantirTM platform environment ingests structured and unstructured data from multiple sources available in secure, scalable, easy-to-use information databases for worldwide collaborative analysis and intelligence work. SHINE’s embedded analysts provide Palantir platform training and front-end systems support, configuration, and customization of the Palantir suite of products to the intelligence community worldwide. The services these FSRs provide allow intelligence specialists to turn the mountains of classified data sources into usable deliverable information that commanders use to make critical, accurate, and timely decisions on the battlefield. In less than one year, SHINE established forty one (41) U.S.-based and overseas-serving FSRs. These employees support U.S. Marine and Army units at every echelon of command. SHINE Systems is well positioned and embedded within US Special Operations Command, US Central Command, and US AFRICOM, and continues to deploy in support of the war in Afghanistan.
