Shenandoah Office’s Denise Sherfey-Aleshire Named 2013 HUBZone Employee of the Year
FAIRFAX, VA. September 10, 2013 – SHINE Systems & Technologies (SHINE), a leading intelligence analytics, identity intelligence, technology integration, training, and consulting services firm based in Charlottesville, VA is proud to honor Denise Sherfey-Aleshire, who has been named the 2013 HUBZone National Employee of the Year by the HUBZone Contractors National Council at their annual National HUBZone Conference.

The National HUBZone Conference connects many small business contractors, federal agencies, and prime contractor representatives for an education-filled networking experience. The HUBZone National Employee of the Year award is given to an employee of a HUBZone-certified company and who also resides in a HUBZone. In addition to demonstrating success in the workplace, nominees must be engaged members of their local community in order to be eligible.
Denise Sherfey-Aleshire serves a critical and multi-function role at SHINE as Senior Administrator for the Shenandoah Office, corporate Travel Coordinator for worldwide travel, and as support staff for the Finance department. She demonstrates fervent dedication, sincerity, and an unwavering work ethic. Her position requires flexibility and availability to respond to changing circumstances, deliver consistency, excellent service to her colleagues, and SHINE’s overall operations.
SHINE Systems is not the only organization that benefits from her skills and commitment. Denise aspires to prepare the youth for their future as a volunteer with the CHOICES Education Group whose mission is to empower students on their career and life opportunities. She also spends much of her time at the Mt. Carmel Christian Academy as both an educator and mentor throughout the school system. As a member of the Page County Relay for Life team, Denise also holds multiple roles in support of the program as the Event Chair – organizing, recruiting, and planning for large community gatherings.
