[CHARLOTTESVILLE, VIRGINIA, March, 11] — SHINE Systems will celebrate its fifth straight year as the Finish Line Sponsor for the Virginia Institute of Autism’s (VIA) Run for Autism 5K this April 13th.
The Virginia Institute of Autism helps people overcome the challenges of autism through innovative, evidence-based programs in education, outreach and adult services.
“Having a daughter on the autism spectrum, this organization and the Run for Autism 5K fundraiser is are very personal to me. More importantly, it’s an opportunity for SHINE Systems to come alongside the community to learn more about and contribute to overcoming autism’s challenges. “The race is one of the best-attended, most family-friendly events in the area — with runners and walkers of all ages and all abilities. Last year the event raised $125,000 to help families with autism. Let’s raise even more this year,” wrote Peggy Caister, a Virginia Institute of Autism Run for Autism 5K organizer.
On April 13th, starting at 7:30 AM at Charlottesville High School (https://www.viaschool.org/events/run-for-autism-5k/), you can join the SHINE Family at The Virginia Institute of Autism’s 2019 Run for Autism 5K. The SHINE Systems team will be there to run and walk the race alongside our community and other supporter organizations.
