SHINE President Jeff Thomas Appointed to Virginia Institute of Autism’s Board of Directors
CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA. October 14, 2014– SHINE Systems is happy to announce President Jeff Thomas’ appointment to the Board of Directors of the Virginia Institute of Autism (VIA). After a unanimous vote earlier this week, Mr. Thomas has accepted his appointment with great regard for a cause he and the SHINE community warmly supports.
“Autism affects me as well as other members of our company on a daily basis. To give back to the autism community, VIA in particular, is both a corporate and personal expression of the heart. We thank VIA for answering the call to help children and adults limited by autism and for their dedication to this community.”
As part of his new duties as Board Member, Mr. Thomas will aid the VIA in strategic decisions and overall guidance of the VIA’s goal to help people overcome the challenges of autism. The VIA offers evidence-based programs in education, outreach, and services that meet the needs of people with autism across their lifespans with emphasis on youth and adult services.
